Funded by Service Canada and sponsored by PeopleWorx Society, the employment-counselling program provides career development, job-search assistance, skill enhancement, job maintenance, and counselling to adults who are unemployed and eligible under employment insurance, or who are eligible through the Human Resource Investment Fund (HRIF).
Among their many regular services, the employment counsellors have also developed a very comprehensive workshop to help those who need assistance in career decision making. The workshop challenges clients to know themselves first, and then look outward to explore what is available for work and learning opportunities. The final challenge is to learn how, and then to actually make decisions with the information they have researched and collected.
